Any logged-in user can report content to the moderators on this board using the Report button. So to report content, you need to register first. We require the registration and do not accept anonymous reports because as part of the registration, you submit your email address (see privacy policy below), and the email address is possibly needed as a backchannel in case there are further questions regarding the reported content. Also, we may or may not inform you via private messaging on this forum or via email about any action taken against the reported posting.
If you do not want to register, send an email to the email address listed in the Staff section at the very end of the page to report content!
If you spot any content that looks like it is infringing the rules laid down here, after signing up, please use the Report button in the lower right corner of the posting to report the content to the moderators. Please provide a message why you report the posting. In case of boring spam, just the keyword "spam" or an empty message is enough. The moderators, within the confines of these rules, will review and act upon the report on a best-effort basis. Please do not copy, quote or re-post any obviously illegal or infringing content, reporting it is enough!
You agree that forum moderators and operators may remove or modify any user-generated content at any time to ensure the orderly sorting, operation or configuration or the enforcement of these rules for the forum board. You recognize the forum board is not a place to store information safely, immutably or in perpetuity. This holds true in the context of the moderating spam or other abuses, but also in the case of moderation mistakes or data loss or data deletion due to operation mistakes or moderation mistakes, and in the case data loss or erasure occurs, that you agree that you have no claims re. damages from the moderated content getting erased or lost or put of context. You have been advised to retain authoritative, local copies of any of your posts off the board to avoid any grievances about data loss.
This moderation policy also applies if users whose content was quoted or copied or reposted by you request the removal of their original and reproduced content from the board. In particular, you agree to any of your postings to getting altered or removed if they quote content or refer to an user by username or name who requested his data be removed under our data control provisions.
You agree that if a user requests their data to be removed from the board (see data control provisions below), the content of a topic or post may be put out of context or into an interrupted or unintelligible context, and that in this event, based on judgement by the moderators, entire topics or posts part of that topic may be removed as a whole or selectively as well. This is a natural consequence of enabling users to control their data and content on this board in terms of the GDPR (see data control provisions further below).
You consent that old content in the form of topics or posts or forum sections may be pruned from the board based on moderator judgement. You agree that old topics for forums may at some point become closed for new contributions such as posts or topics.
Because of this moderation policy, you explicitly agree that information on this board may be incomplete or inaccurate in more or less subtle ways. You agree that the board is not persistent information storage or a knowledge base and that any contribution of value you should save off-board in a safe location you control (see also data deletion/loss provisions elsewhere in these rules). As always, as also explained above, this means that you agree to vet any information on this board before using any of it!
We strive to operate TDM services in compliance with the rules of the European Union’s General Data Protection Rules to accommodate GDPR country residents. By accepting these rules, you consent to your personal information being recorded to the extent described below. Our records of your personal data are kept as minimal and insignificant as possible as to enable the operation of our tdm.ltd service only.
By clicking “Accept”, you consent to this privacy policy.
Every HTTP request to the tdm.ltd domain is logged in the following form and stored for one day in order to ensure that issues with request processing can be traced and resolved. IP addresses (remote address
) are stored anonymized in any case (IPv4: lower 16 bits are set to zero as in 127.127.0.0, IPv6: lower 48 bits are set to zero as in fe80:24ed::).

We use the FluxBB forum software to operate our forums. The software requires a certain minimal set of personal information to manage accounts. Other pieces of information are optional and may be published by the user.
See below for a list of the mandated data and unconditionally stored metadata and the respective purpose of the data bits.
You retain control over your data. See further below how to request deletion of your account and any associated data, metadata, or request machine-readable copies of all your data stored within the FluxBB database.
Nickname: Handle defining the log in name and published when posting on the message board.
Email address: Required for manual account activation as an abuse countermeasure. Optionally used to subscribe the user to notifications/subscriptions. In the case of active abuse, becomes part of the ban record.
Any other data the user provides by configuring his account in addition to the above (preferences, signatures, real names, website addresses, etc) is not essential but nevertheless stored in the backend database. If you choose to enter that information, the information will be displayed or processed by the forum software to enrich your public user profile. We strongly recommend not to enter any more information than the minimally required data.
IP address the user registered from: Used to lock out so-called banned IP ranges and IP addresses from registering in order to block abusive activity (so-called ban records).
IP address and username for each post: Used for blocking abusive posters and identifying authorship to facilitate a message board conversation.
Timestamp and date of each post: used to show the date and time the post was posted.
Timestamp and date of last login: used to show the user's last visit in the user profile.
When posting to the board, you submit public posts. If your post is the first post as part of a topic, besides the post content, a topic subject will be collected and displayed on the page. Public postings stay in the database as-is but are subject to the moderation policy and thus may be altered ex post (see moderation policy above). You can request deletion, edition, movement, or copies of your post and topic data at any time (see further below the notes on data control, data portability).
In context of public postings, FluxBB also adds text from your public posts into a search index to facilitate the forum board search functionality in a technically meaningful implementation. This index is local to the database and never shared with any third party and serves only to facilitate the search functionality. If you request deletion of any of your postings, the data from the index is deleted as well upon deletion by rebuilding the search index. Any request for deletion of a public posting implies deletion of the search index data and need not be requested separately.
The board provides a way for users to send an email to another forum member. This is an opt-in feature which can be enabled in Profile > Privacy and selecting "Hide your email address but allow form email". Click the "Email" link below the avatar of a user who has enabled such form emails to send them an email. Remember that while people who send you email messages via the form are not shown your email address, people who receive such messages from you will of course see your email address and can reply to it via that address. Email messages sent via the board form are of course unmoderated unless reported (see abuse policy). Like all emails, the content of such messages should be considered public and the email system should never be used to transmit or request personal or sensitive information of any kind. As already noted elsewhere in this rules document, should you encounter any form of harrassment, bullying or receive inappropriate or illicit messages from any other forum user via the email messaging system, please contact forum staff immediately.
NB: private messages are currently disabled on this forum. Private messages are non-public postings sent to a limited list of recipients. Private messages carry the same metadata as public postings, additionally, the identities of receivers and sender are added to the database. Private messages are not subject to search indexing. Private messages are unmoderated unless reported (see abuse policy). A copy of any sent message is placed in the inbox of the receiver and the outbox of the sender, so please be aware that all receivers receive a copy of the message! You can delete any messages from your outbox manually. To request deletion of messages already sent out to recipients, please contact forum staff to directly remove that data from the database. Do not use the private messaging system if you can avoid it. The private messaging system should also never be used to transmit, store or request personal or sensitive information of any kind. As already noted elsewhere in this rules document, should you encounter any form of harrassment, bullying or receive inappropriate or illicit private messages from any other forum user via the private messaging system, please contact forum staff immediately.
Any forum user has the option to subscribe via email or newsfeed to topics and receive almost real-time updates on new public postings posted to the board. By posting to the board, you agree that through these means, a copy of your post has been made available to subscribers as soon as it appeared in public and that any such copies cannot be deleted by the forum operators or taken back because the way of transmission does not allow for it. You agree to not post to this board at all or not sign up if you are not okay with this circumstance.
Messages sent via the private messaging system as explained above are not subject to active forum moderation and will not be read or accessed by staff unless you file a abuse report (example situations explained above). Any deletion requests regarding private messages will be handled by deleting the data unseen and un-restorable UNLESS the content has been reported as abusive, in which case we request samples from the reporting party.
Not all users of have access to the private messaging system. New forum users are excluded as to limit the risk of system abuse. Please note that in the event of an abuse incident, the forum staff reserves the right to discontinue offering the private messaging system as a forum feature entirely. In this event, all data from the private messages will be deleted unseen and unrestorable.
Private messages are not encrypted.
As mentioned in other places of this board, esp. regarding the risk of security breaches or accidental information leaks possible due to mistakes such as software misconfiguration, private messages are not a medium to store, transmit any sort of information in a confidential and secure way. Private or otherwise sensitive information is not to be posted as private messages on this board, just as such information doesn't belong on the public boards!
If you do not wish to participate in the private messaging system, you may permanently opt-out by unchecking the checkbox in front of "Enable Private Messaging system" in your profile preferences under the Privacy tab.
As explained in the moderation policy and in the data control provisions re. data loss events in this document, like all other user-generated data, private messages are not guaranteed to be stored persistently and are not safe from data loss events or accidental deletion and may become unavailable to you if the forum board becomes continuously or temporarily unavailable. You agree that you waive any claims regarding damages or negative consequences stemming from private messages getting deleted in any such event. You agree that the forum board is not reliable information storage.
If you use the forum search, if you're a registered and logged in user, the search result and your identity will get cached to facilitate fast searches and to prevent server overload due to excessive searching. If you use the search without logging in, your IP address takes the place of the recorded identity for the same purpose. The search cache is deleted after you log out or after you have left the board and did not perform a new HTTP request against the server for more than 1800 seconds.
Similarly, if you visit the site, in order to show the number of current guests on the page, your IP address is added to another cache, which is also going to expire 1800 seconds after you leave the site.
The aforementioned data is never analyzed or used for purposes beyond enabling search and guest counting features as described.
Some users are permitted to add a signature footer to their profile that appears below all of their past and future postings as a form of personalization. To signatures, the same abuse rules governing postings apply in their full extent, and users agree that their signatures are a form of a public posting as well.
If you spot users bearing abusive or inappropriate signatures, please report their post(s) or profile to the forum staff by hitting the report button on a posting of theirs or emailing the staff directly.
Some users are permitted to optionally upload a very small 60 by 60 pixels avatar that appears in public below their user name on each of their postings as a form of personalization. The uploading of any obscene, illegal or illicit or offensive content as an avatar is strictly forbidden and any abuse in that sense will lead to ban and account deletion as soon as the issue comes to the staffs' attention.
If you spot users bearing abusive or inappropriate avatars, please report their post(s) or profile to the forum staff by hitting the report button on a posting of theirs or emailing the staff directly.
If you wish to delete your avatar, report one for your own posts with a message or email staff.
The forum staff strongly recommends to never upload an avatar that shows your face or any other personalized feature of yours. The forum staff strongly recommends to not upload an avatar at all.
The forum staff has taken simple measures to prevent the hotlinking and/or embedding of avatar images on other sites as to ensure that context of these images is preserved on the internet. These measures are not safe against intentional circumvention though and should not be relied upon. Do not upload avatar images if you need to rule out the risk that the images be copied or reproduced by third parties out of the administrators' and/or your control. This is an internet board and private information does not belong on it.
Only for users who have registered and logged in, FluxBB uses cookies to enable the following: secure login of users into a session, marking topics and forums in the New queue as unread for the logged in user during the current log in session as to facilitate an orderly reading experience, and optionally, if the user selects the remember me checkbox when logging in, to enable the user to automatically get logged in when visiting the site again. Based on the cookies, the user is marked as logged in and his nick name is displayed on the forum landing page. Based on the cookie, the user is authenticated so the forum software can scope actions of the user to a specific account. Based on the cookie, the user is guided in his reading experience by unread topics getting marked as read only in the scope of the current user session. At no point there is further analytical processing of cookie data to track or profile users, except as noted above to display the count and nick of logged in users on the landing page and marking reading progress during the current login session.
If you do NOT agree with the above, do not sign up and do not log in to the site.
Visitors who have not logged in do not get cookies.
Revoke consent to FluxBB cookie usage by clearing all cookies in your browser and then emailing the staff email address listed at the end of this document with a request to delete your data (see data control section at the end of this document), because without cookies you can no longer log into the forum.
If you abuse our board (using the board in a manner which violates the terms set forth in this document), your IP address, email address and handle will be stored in perpetuity to prevent you from using our board. This is necessary since message board abuse is rampant and a huge problem for small communities such as ours, as moderating all use of the board is a very time-consuming task, and time is a scarce resource.
We do not transmit your personal data to services other than listed below.
During the registration process, a Google Captcha is used to ensure that an actual human is signing up and not a bot. Your browser will request data from and transmit data to Google’s servers. In the context of this interaction, Google’s privacy policy applies to its full extent. You also consent to Google's Terms of Service, by clicking Agree, you certify you have reviewed and accepted it
You’ll be shown the text of this privacy policy before proceeding to the page the captcha is on (by clicking “Accept”), so if you do not consent to Google’s policy, please close or return from your current browser view. You can optionally contact the administrators at admin@ this domain and request that an account be created for you manually so that you can avoid using Captcha.
Note that none of the details you entered into the registration form are actually being sent to the captcha service.
All email traffic sent to you from our forum system goes through the amazon.com AWS email sending service SES. As such, AWS privacy policy and terms of service apply in this context. See also the AWS Data Privacy FAQ.
You confirm you have reviwed Amazon's data privacy, data retention policies and data protection arrangements as linked to from the policies referred to above!
Due to the nature of the email message format, while email messages may be encrypted in transit (our submission IS encrypted, whether your email provider accepts encrypted SMTP traffic depends on their specific configuration), email messages may include and AWS SES systems may see but not store or act on the following information:
Only the first registration email is mandatory. You will not receive any other emails unless you explicitly opt-in to receive emails, optionally with message or post contents, on the privacy page in your personal settings.
On this board, users are allowed to embed images into their posts using the IMG tag. If an user embeds an image in their post, your browser will retrieve that image from the server that the IMG tag references, which is likely an unrelated 3rd party to this forum board.
By agreeing to this rule document, you recognize that your browser may request external content (for which we are not liable or responsible for, see the remainder of this document!) and thereby transmit personally identifiable information to 3rd parties, which are unknown to the forum administrators and which cannot be listed here. You also agree that the forum administrators are not responsible for your data that was transmitted to 3rd parties, and that it is your responsibility alone to ensure that those 3rd parties handle your data in a GDPR compliant way.
If you do not agree with this, do not visit this forum board.
Any personal or profile data you submit to our service is immediately submitted to our database and will overwrite or delete any previous information. Please use this method to purge any such data by yourself. The old information will be part of our disaster recovery backups for 7 more days and then be deleted without a way to recover the data.
For other kinds of deletion requests please contact the forum administrators at admin@ at this domain (see below email address).
Private messages (PMs) you sent to other users can be deleted from your inbox and outbox in the same manner.
Note that due to the nature of this message board, even after deleting your personal information, any information you published may already have been seen, archived, copied or textually referenced by other messages on this board or any other internet service. Everything you post here should be thought of to have been announced to the world. Please do not use our board if you are not OK with that!
While forum administrators highly value your privacy and will take action as soon as they reasonably can to respond to requests to remove personal content you might have published by mistake, a distinction has to be drawn with technical, non-personal information. Once published, such information is considered to be in the public domain, and the property of the community. Deleting such content is liable to make topics difficult to understand, or even meaningless, so administrators will remove it only under special circumstances.
Account data and metadata is retained until you request deletion of your account to indicate that you wish to discontinue using the board as in the case that you have made postings to the board, without your account information, it would not be possible for the staff to act on any data subject request regarding your content as it would not be possible to verify your ownership of the content any longer. Any account and/or data deletion request will be executed without undue delay. You have the option to leave your public postings behind on the board even if your account information has been deleted. This is not mandatory.
In the special case that you have once registered and not made any public postings at all, your account and all associated data with it may be deleted after 3 months of inactivity (=defined as not having logged in to the forum software once within the past 3 months). These purges happen on a regular basis, at least every 6 months, and are executed to ensure that users who have no reason to have an account here do not leave any data behind.
As for IP addresses associated with registrations and postings as explained above, these addresses, if the posting is more than one year old or the registration is more than one year in the past, are going to be overwritten by a fake placeholder IP addresses from a private subnet range. This operation takes place at least once per year on December 1st.
Users who have been banned from the forums due to incidents of abuse such as spamming will be shown a corresponding notice by the forum software when they attempt to log in. Users who have been banned may request the expunge of their original account and ban record by contacting the forum staff via email.
You own your data. Besides deletion you can always request information on and correction of your personal data at any time. You can also request deletion of forum content any time which you have produced and which contains personal information such as your name, location, hobbies etc. NOTE that while administrators carefully consider all requests for deletion, non-personal technical data will in general, be considered to be already public property. To request data deletion, hit the report button on any of your posts or topics and request deletion, or email the administrator as explained in the Staff section if you have lost your account access. You may also request a copy of any data FluxBB has stored that relates to your account by emailing the Staff as explained below. You may also include a PGP public key with which we should encrypt the data before sending it to you.
This board operates using software, and every software has bugs. That means that despite the efforts of administrators, who attempt to operate the board as securely as possible with reasonable effort within the confines of the technology used and based on a best effort basis considering the hobby nature of the project, an attacker might breach the security and access user data illegally and illegitimately. In the event that any such event comes to the notice of the administrators, all users of the board will be notified via their email address of the breach.
The administrators want to highlight to NEVER share information, data or content on this forum that is sensitive. Remember to pick a strong password that you do not use on any other website as well!
While reasonable care is taken in operating this forum board, in some circumstances the service may not be reliable, available and accept data posted to it or lose data to corruption or accidental deletion stored within it. You recognize that the board is not a place to store information persistently and safely in any shape or form and that information such as posts, topics, and private message content posted to it may become lost and unrestorable at any time and , waive any possible claim for damages in this event. Data persistence is not guaranteed. You agree to store information irreplaceable and valuable to you in a safe place away from the forum board.
